Social Impact at Green Island Bakery

At Green Island Bakery, we believe in the power of food and community to transform lives. As a social enterprise, we use our bakery to support women recovering from trauma, offering them workforce training, personal development, and meaningful employment. Our kitchen is more than just a place to bake; it’s a space for healing and empowerment. By working with local charities, we aim to increase employment and food production, ensuring that every product we create has a positive impact on both people and communities.

We are driven by a mission to offer the finest Irish and European baked goods while empowering women recovering from trauma. Our kitchen is a space for healing, where we partner with organizations to provide workforce training, personal development, and employment opportunities for marginalized women.

Support for Women recovering from Traumatic Experiences

We are a social enterprise who partners with other organizations toprovide workforce training, personal development coaching, and employment opportunities for women recovering from traumatic experiences.

We provide workforce training and personal development coaching for women who have been marginalized in society. We also aim to create employment opportunities to empower women. Our ultimate goal is to increase employment and local food production in the area to help victimized and marginalized women reach their full potential.

Local Food Production

At Green Island Bakery, we extend our commitment to boosting local food production. By partnering with local suppliers and producers, we prioritize sustainability while supporting the growth of the local economy. Our goal is not just to create delicious, high-quality baked goods, but also to ensure that every ingredient we use is ethically sourced and benefits our community. This approach allows us to strengthen the local food system and provide opportunities for marginalized individuals to thrive.
